Whether you're a novice angler or a seasoned fisherman with countless days on the water you can look forward
to an adventurous day on the water with Capt. Steven Tejera. He's been fishing South Florida's waters since the
early age of 5 and knows his way in Biscayne Bay, the Key Largo Backcountry, and Flamingo better than the
streets near his home in Homestead, Fl. The first thing you'll realize when you meet him is that he is a young
captain...the next thing you'll realize is that he knows exactly what he wants to do..... GET YOU TO WHERE
THE FISH ARE. Capt. Steven is easy going, hard working, and will go out of his way to make your day a
relaxing getaway in what are South Florida's hidden back bays and creeks that are literally full of life. He'll take
you to places where you'll need to duck your head as you make your way through low lying mangroves and
meander through winding saltwater creeks full of life that have been untouched by civilization. You'll fish in
areas less than 1 foot deep where you'll sight fish and have shots at some of the best fishing South Florida has to
offer. He'll point out the teltale wakes that weary reds and snook make as they travel the flats. He'll take you to
the crystal clear waters of South Biscayne Bay and the amber waters of Key Largo's backcountry and deep into
Florida Bay where the grassflats are teaming with fish.
Capt. Steven invites you to join him on his boat Knot Tight for a day or half day. He will share with you the
different techniques he has learned throughout the years that regularly result in quality fish. If you're a new flats
angler he will gladly help you learn the basics of how to navigate the flats, baits to use, fishing methods, and find
some of the usual suspects found in the flats for you to catch. If you're an experienced veteran and want to learn
more on how to target a particular species or area Capt. Steven will be glad to help.
